NOTICES FOR SUNDAY 22nd APRIL 2018 

This week’s events:

Tuesday 24th April: 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm  Ladies Circle will be holding their Spring Fair with several stalls and a raffle. Entrance costs £2.00 p.p. but this will include refreshments. All proceeds will be for church funds.

Tuesday 24th April: There will be no choir practice today.

Thursday 26th April: 10.00 am to 12.00 noon. Coffee morning.

Thursday 26th April: 11.30 am to 12.00 noon Silent Prayer meeting in church.

Thursday 26th April: 7.30 pm The Housegroup will meet at the home of Sally and Frederick Robson, 16 Poplar Drive, to look at the book Chapter 15 “How to help God change the World”. A warm invitation is given to anyone who would like to come along.

Saturday 28th April: 3.30 pm to 5.30 pm  Messy Church.  In anticipation of the church’s Celebration of Gifts weekend, today’s Messy Church will be “Messy Church has got Talent” which will be an opportunity for the children to demonstrate some of their skills. Please come and join us from 4.00 pm and stay for a cup of tea.

Forthcoming events:

Gift Day Weekend 5th and 6th May:

This will include “A Celebration of People’s Gifts and Skills” on Saturday 5th May 10.00 am to 12.30 pm and a “Day of Special Services” on Sunday 6th May.

One of the skills to be celebrated is Photography. If you have taken any photographs you are particularly proud of and would be willing to display, please speak to Katrina Venable.

If you would like to contribute scones, buns or tray bakes for this weekend, would you please add your details to the list which is on the vestibule table.

Whilst celebrating the gifts of groups and individuals, another purpose of this weekend is to raise funds for our church.  Please place your gift in the envelope you receive as you come into church and place it in the box provided, either on Saturday or Sunday, 5th /6th May. Thanks for your support.

Saturday 12th May: 10.00 am to 12.00 noon at Kilham. Coffee Morning and craft work on display by the “Craft and Chatter” group. Cake stall, raffle, Bring and Buy stall, all with refreshments. All are welcome to come along.

Message from Peter Jay: We are proposing to hold the Men’s Weekend during the weekend of 1st and 2nd September. Will any men who are available and willing to take part, please contact Peter Jay as soon as possible to help with advanced planning.
